What is the WFIC?
Wing Foil Instructors of Canada (WFIC) is a national initiative designed to create the first structured training and certification pathway for professional wing foiling instructors in Canada.
Our instructor certification program is designed to give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to teach recreational wing foiling at the highest standard.
Fundamentals Introduction
Covers teaching setup and safety, wing handling, beach launching, self-rescue, and getting familiar with the equipment.
Acquisition Stage
Focuses on teaching riding in both directions, basic control and jibes, staying upwind, and wing surfing techniques.
Consolidation
Introduces pumping, smooth transitions, first foil flights, and early foiling skills.
